ABOUT
Dismantling the myths around sex and sexuality to help people feel more comfortable in their bodies is my goal as a therapist. Inviting people to consider the role pleasure has in their lives and encouraging them to explore how to increase play and joy in their daily lives is important. I help people become of aware of the answers they already have: I am not the expert, you are.
My practice is based in attachment theory and trauma. My focus is helping people understand the physiological and developmental processes behind their behaviours, guiding people towards lasting change while providing a caring and compassionate place to heal.

I am an AASECT-certified Sex Therapist and I am an AASECT- certified Sex Therapy Supervisor. I have completed Level II training in EMDR and the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy. I hold an MS in Community Counselling from UW-Whitewater, and I have advanced training in Sex Therapy, Trauma recovery, and Substance abuse. I also completed the Sexual Health Certificate Program at the University Michigan.
I am very creative, and I use an eclectic variety of processes to build the therapeutic relationship: I see the relationship that we will build together as vitally important to the healing process. I see our work together as a collaborative effort from a humanist, non-judgmental, decolonizing perspective.
I have over 16 years of experience helping adults and emerging adults learn about new ways to cope with uncomfortable feelings and manage survival responses. I am an active educator, therapist, and presenter. I regularly engage in local and international continuing education opportunities.
I am passionate about introducing new concepts about sex and sexuality to improve clients' relationships with themselves and others. Approaching sexual health conversations from a non-judgemental, open approach invites clients to be curious and to create authenticity in their sexual selves. I enjoy assisting people with how to cope with uncomfortable feelings and manage survival reactions.
